Call For Resource Tracks (Extended)

China Conference on Knowledge Graph and Semantic Computing (CCKS 2021) Call for Resource Tracks

Conference TimeAugust 18th to 21st, 2021, Guangzhou

Submission Deadline: May 20th, 2021 May 25th, 2021

Open resources are important for promoting scientific research and industry applications. CCKS 2021 Resource Track aims to encourage resource sharing following best practice within the knowledge graph and semantic computing community.  Resource types include, but are not restricted to: open knowledge graphs and related datasets, open knowledge graph algorithms and tools (including APIs and software frameworks), ontologies/vocabularies, benchmarking activities/standards/methods for evaluations of knowledge graph quality and applications, workflows, crowdsourcing task designs, and protocols, etc. We encourage authors and organizations to share resources in OpenKG and following related principles.

Submission method:

The submission of Resource Track should be a paper via the conference paper submission website (please pay attention to choose the Resource Topic): https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=ccks2021. Resource Track papers shall be reviewed in a single-blind review mechanism, which requires that the authors and organizations of resources indicated in the papers, and the length of papers shall not exceed 6 pages (including references). The paper should provide accessible links to the resource (such as OpenKG, GitHub links, etc.), introduce the value of the resource, the construction process, and usage, etc. The benchmark activities paper should include the evaluation process and provide a detailed description of the experimental setup. Submissions should be in Springer LNCS template (same template for English and Chinese): http://www.springer.com/gp/computer-science/lncs/conference-proceedings-guidelines (Word templates download address; Latex template download address).

The committee reviewers will evaluate both the quality of the resources and papers in terms of impact, reusability (e.g., whether the resources include detailed usage instructions, accessible download or query interfaces for the resources, etc.), and data principles. Finally, the reviewers will select CCKS2021 Best Open Resource (Paper) Award. OpenKG will promote and publicize the selected open sources. English papers will be included in the CCKS2021 Proceedings by Springer. A number of the best English papers (after extension) will be invited to be published in the journal of Big Data Research (SCI) and Data Intelligence.

Topics for this resource call include (but are not restricted to):

  • Open knowledge graph datasets, including knowledge graph datasets and annotation datasets for knowledge graph tasks such as Q&A, conversation, recommendation, search, and multimodal learning tasks, etc.;
  • Open knowledge graph algorithms and tools, mainly including reusable APIs and software frameworks which can be quickly reused for knowledge graph data processing and engineering tasks either through online services or download packages;
  • Ontology/vocabularies, including domain schema, semantic relations, and vocabularies, etc.;
  • Knowledge graph benchmarking activities, focusing on comprehensible and systematic evaluation of existing datasets and systems;
  • Innovative evaluation methods and metrics focusing on knowledge graph and related algorithms;
  • Workflows, including reusable science and experimental workflows;
  • Crowdsourcing task designs, aiming for building open resources such as gold standards;
  • Protocols for conducting knowledge graph research, experiments, and application developments.
